PB-30 is used to lock the start of an earthing switching bay, if there is some voltage on its terminals. The relay is fit for cooperation with stand-off insulators equipped with reactance or resistance dividers. The closure of proper output contact causes the activation of the earthing switch’ electromagnetic lock.
The input circuit of the relay is based on the solution used in SN-30, and has a pre-set threshold for current – 60 μA (other values can be set on demand – starting from 30 μA).
PB-30 requires outer power supply to be provided for external steering. The interlock relay must work properly also when the voltage is down. The change of default settings is then impossible, so the state must trigger the blockage of the earthing switch does not matter if there is voltage in SN circuit, or not.
The permission to the closure of earthing switch requires 2 conditions to be met:
- The occurrence of support voltage in power supply clips PB-30
- The lack of voltage on each and every SN circuit rails
